This is the next photo after the one of gulls following a tractor. I do not know whether they were taken from the same parking spot or whether this is further north of the previous. Again I assume I was travelling on the B6346 but I cannot place the buildings using Streetview.

This was taken as I travelled between Warkworth & Chillingham - I'd taken photos at both places which places this location between them. I assume I must have taken the B6346 through Eglingham & Old Berwick, but I have spent a long time on Google Streetview & I can't place it. At the highest point on the skyline there is a mast - not obvious on this photo but it can be seen in a 2nd, more zoomed-in, photo.

This will be difficult. I stayed a weekend in a caravan on the site of an old ruined building which was ultimately turned into a summer home. The owner now has dementia and all I remember is that the site was in Mid Wales. The date of the trip was February 1968. All three images submitted to speculative upload should be in close proximity. In fact Nigel Brown has found consistencies in the far distance in two of the images.

This will be very difficult. I stayed a weekend in February 1968 in a caravan on the site of an old ruined building which was ultimately turned into a summer home. The owner now has dementia and all I remember is that the site was in Mid Wales. This valley was close by and has clearly common features in the background with the view of the croft/farm before the snow. The building site is also available in a separate image. All three images submitted to Speculative Upload should be in close proximity. This valley was reached by a gated access route.

Series of photos from the same location. This was a trip with the youth club of a church in Ampthill, Bedfordshire. My mother still goes to the church and has asked a couple of people where this camp was. Bromham or Sevenoaks have been suggested.Bromham doesn't look a good match because there is no pool and the buildings are in the woods rather than out in the open. I found reference to the Woodlands holiday camp in Sevenoaks, but that seems to have been more of a 50s and 60s thing. One similarity with Woodlands is that the pool has one side with higher ground and a retaining wall, but that's about it. Buildings may be WW2 or soon after. Prior use as an army camp maybe? Best guess location is Woodlands but I really don't know.

I would expect it to have been taken at Dover, though the photographer did travel to the Channel Isles around that time, not sure if by air or sea, or of departure point. I have since narrowed this down to the Japanese passenger liners Terukuni Maru and Yasukuni Maru, both of which operated a service to London from 1930-1939. Don't think there's any way of telling them apart without reading the name?

I have tried a couple of the places my parents used to visit, including Bourton on the water, but these have been ruled out. It would holidayed mainly in Gloucestershire, Wales, Derbyshire, Staffs or Lake District, though I remember visits to area west of London, and to Hampshire. However a shorter trip in range of their Northampton base cannot be ruled out.

This is the first of a set of my late father's slides dated June '61. I have absolutely no idea where it might be except it is likely to be Surrey or Sussex. Can anyone help? Following slides in the set give no clues. They used to drive down from North Ken to my mother's parents in Hailsham quite regularly, perhaps on the A22. I imagine it is somewhere in a corridor between the A21 and the A24. Looking at that impressive pre-Warboys sign tells us a major road is running left to right in the background and the road in the foreground with the Anglia is likely to be a minor road. There seems to be another road leading onto the main road over to the left (striped posts, crossing island and possibly another 'Slow' sign on the extreme left). Across the main road, looks like another road but maybe not a public one. Perhaps a road into a National Trust-sort of house?

The note on this 1984 print gives Elterwater as the location. I have guessed the grid ref from looking on the map for where there is a prominent left-hand bend in the river. But trees prevent using aerial photography, and there is no geograph in this centisquare to compare.

It is somewhere on the M25 near Combebank Wood. Can someone identify the make and the model of the car? thanks in advance. Looking at the second image my son made of this car, it is a LHD and 2 exhaust pipes are visible below the tail lights near the wheels. May be this helps to identify the car.

This was taken somewhere around Holmebridge area. There are many small wooded cloughs, and with changes in forestry patterns over the years, recent aerial photography on Wheresthepath has not been conclusive. This is a best guess.

My mother thought this was the corner of Duke Street and Lord Street. Looking at other Geographs of this location it seems unlikely. But property websites show similar half-timbered houses on Duke Street so it may be further down the road.

A view in the fell winter of 62/63 from below the Bradwell sea wall towards shipping laid up in the Blackwater estuary. This could be viewed from any one of several squares centered on the suggested one, and really requires a knowledge of the relative positions on the anchored shipping at that time to pin it down. Edit: I now realize this is scanned back to front. Please reverse the view when considering, although I suspect this won't help a lot!

Somewhere north of Stourton Junction, passed 16:50, and south of Bumble Hole Lock, reached 20:35. From the lighting, probably earlier rather than later. From the wooded canal and its curvature, more likely candidates for the viewpoint are SO 863856, 860858, 864868, 865870.

As this appears to be an orange seller, I am assuming some sort of connection with Nell Gwynne or an actress associated with that role. Taken in 1972, preceding photos include a large naturalised lily pond and a bit of what loooks like a mansion (trees in the way). Only guess I can make on location is possibly SE, near London.

Although I had it in my mind that it was at Ide Hill, the negative bag says Toys Hill, so wondered if someone more local who is familiar with the woodland walks can suggest a 6 figure grid reference, possibly in Scords Wood (though I don't recollect that name). There were a lot of these gnarled old trees, so it was a highly distinctive patch of woodland. I printed these up large on green fluorescent paper in the 1970s and swore blind the kids that I took them in Mirkwood and I couldn't stop the pictures going green because I had "strayed off the path when Gandalf told me not to".
